how to apply for financial aid

Any student interested in receiving financial aid will first have to obtain a PIN number then complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. You'll want to collect a copy of your previous year's tax return, your social security number, and driver's license number before you begin. If you're considered a dependent student, you'll need to collect your parents' information as well before beginning.

Follow this link to create or request a copy of your PIN. This step takes less than 3 minutes!

To fill out a FAFSA form online, visit www.FAFSA.ed.gov. This form can take between 15-30 minutes, but it's worth it! Once you submit your form, it gets sent to the school electronically. Once we can determine your eligibility, we'll give you a call!

Paper applications are also available. Please let us know if you'd like us to send out out to you. Or, better yet, set up an appointment to come in and we'll help you through it!

Douglas J's School Code is 025882

scholarship opportunities

As a student at the Douglas J Aveda Institute, there is a vast array of scholarship opportunities you may be eligible for and apply to. Most scholarships require that you are a current student and have completed a certain amount of hours prior to applying; however, Douglas J occassionally holds scholarship competitions to students who do not have any formal training in the salon and spa industry.
